I was very sad the entire tour, but as we ascended to the top of the castle I felt the strength of the women who inhabited this place and am forever changed. Our guide stated that we should go forward and make sure that the unspeakable crimes against humanity that occured here never happen again. I have vowed to make my life a place where peace can prevail. Those Africans lives' and horrible deaths will not be in vain.
